Specialised Department Veterinary Task Force

Within the field of activities of the LAVES Veterinary Task Force, there are four members of staff in Stade and two in the LAVES head office employed in the area of pest control.

Particular focus of this special division is on:

• monitoring measures for rodent control in Lower Saxony
• zoological diagnostics, i.e. arthropods (insects, arachnids etc.)
• identifying mould fungi
• Developing concepts for disinfestations in cases of animal epidemics
• Assistance in the testing of pest control methods within the scope of feed monitoring and food hygiene.
