Specialised Department Veterinary Task Force

Within the field of acitivities of the LAVES Veterinary Task Force deals with fish epizootics control in Hannover.

Special emphasis is put on:

• supporting the competent authorities in implementing the fish disease legislation
• supporting the competent authorities regarding authorisation and registration of aquaculture facilities in Lower Saxony
• processing EU declarations for officially disease-free status
• advising the competent authorities and aquaculturists on fish epizootics, fish diseases, fish welfare, aquaculture and fish kills / pollution in the aquatic environment
• carrying out examinations within the scope of fish epizootics control and fish epizootics prophylaxis
