Specialised Department Organic Agriculture

The tasks of the specialised Department Organic Agriculture is based on the Council´s Decree (EG) Nr. 834/2007 and the Comission´s Decree (EG) Nr. 889/2008 and also additional legislation. The duties include in particular:

• Controlling ecological agriculture in Lower Saxony
• Monitoring private control stations
• Processing diverse certificates of exemption
• Information of interested sectors on ecological agriculture
