Specialised Department of Inland Fisheries and Fisheries Services

The Department of Inland Fisheries and Fisheries Services, is the appointed specialised authority for the fishery advisory department of Lower Saxony Ministry for nutrition, agriculture, consumer protection and state development.

The Departements objectives are:
the upkeep and setting up of a fish inventory which is location typical, species rich and balanced, including protection of the livelihood of fish fauna and conserving, alternatively establishing optimal conditions for sustainable fishing.

The diverse functions encompass, in essentially broadly structured statutory tasks, a consultancy service for the authorities and fishery workers, a representative of public interests and fish welfare.
