By train

The institute is about 10 minutes walking distance from the train station. Public transportation is not available!
After leaving the train station, keep right. This is the street Am Bahnhof and after about 100 meters turn right. Keep on this street until you turn left into the Neufelder St. Keep on this street until the Präsident-Herwig-St. then turn right. The next street on the right is the Schleusenstr. The building on the left is the Institute for Fish and Fishery Products.

By car

• Coming from the direction of Bremen:
  Stay on the A27 until the motorway roundabout Cuxhaven (end of the highway). From the roundabout take the second exit "Häfen”. You will now be in the Neufelder St. Turn into the second street on the right, the Baudirektor-Hahn-St. (Amerikahafen, Steubenhöft). Keep going straight ahead until the first sluice bridge on the left. After crossing the bridge, you will be in the Schleusenstr. The building on the right is the Institute for Fish and Fishery Products. In case the first bridge is closed, you can take the second sluice bridge which is about 50 meters further on from the first bridge. You will then be in the Präsident-Herwig-St. Take the next street on the left which is the Schleusenstr. The building on the left is the Institute.

• Coming from the direction of Hamburg:
  Take the B73 until the roundabout Cuxhaven. From the roundabout take the first exit Häfen. This is the Neufelder Str. Take the second street on the right, the Baudirektor-Hahn-St. (Amerikahafen, Steubenhöft). Keep straight ahead until the first sluice bridge on the left. After crossing the bridge, you will be in the Schleusenstr. The building on the right is the Institute for Fish and Fishery Products.
